Plant Accountant

North Star Electric Cooperative in Baudette is hiring a Plant Accountant.  We are looking for an outgoing person with a positive attitude to assist our member-owners and fellow employees. This position is responsible for tracking, reconciling, and closing out work orders related to the cooperative’s operations, ensuring efficient and timely completion of tasks, and managing accurate records withing the cooperative’s billing and accounting systems. The successful candidate must be organized with the ability to carry out a variety of activities requiring a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.  Must be able to multi-task and have strong communication and problem-solving skills.

This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field and experience in bookkeeping or general accounting. Applicants will be required to demonstrate a high degree of working knowledge and skill with the operation of personal computers and software programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
