About the Role
We are currently seeking a hands-on, safety-conscious Summer Maintenance Technician Assistant to join our Facilities & Maintenance team at our pharmaceutical manufacturing site. This position is ideal for students interested in trades, engineering, or facilities management who are looking to gain valuable real-world experience in a regulated, technical environment.
Working under the guidance of our experienced Maintenance Leads, the student will support a variety of general maintenance and facility improvement tasks throughout our operations. This role provides exposure to mechanical systems, maintenance best practices, and pharmaceutical facility standards.
This is a temporary summer student position, expected to run from approximately the end of May through August. For ANI’s summer student opportunities, priority consideration is given to children of current ANI employees. If we are unable to fill all positions with eligible dependents, we will then consider other qualified candidates.
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and be actively enrolled in a college, university, or other post-secondary educational program.

Position Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Piping System Identification & Labeling:
Assist in identifying and labeling various piping systems throughout the facility, including but not limited to hot and cold water, reverse osmosis (RO) water, soft water, natural gas, compressed air, and fuel oil lines. - Insulation Repair & Renewal:
Renew worn pipe insulation by applying mesh tape and sealing it with white mastic coating. Training and supervision will be provided to ensure safe and proper application. - System Documentation Support:
Support the identification and labeling of clamps and seals on glycol lines. Tasks include marking seal areas with a paint pen and updating relevant facility prints and documentation. - Facility Upkeep:
Assist with general upkeep projects such as painting exterior walls, doors, railings, and stairwells, helping maintain a clean and professional appearance of the facility. - Caulking & Sealing:
Apply elastomer caulk to exterior expansion joints using a powered caulking tool to protect the building envelope and support weatherproofing efforts. - Additional Support Duties:
Take on additional maintenance-related assignments as directed by the Maintenance Leads, including assisting with tool setup, basic repairs, or safety walk-throughs.\
About You
- Enrollment in a post-secondary program related to trades, engineering technology, or facility maintenance is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions safely and accurately
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools and power tools
- Physically able to perform tasks such as bending, lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school Diploma or equivalent
- Dependent of a current ANI Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Employee
