The Historic Baudette Depot is offering this summer’s family event, the “Bluegrass, Beef & Corn Festival”, just for you! Come and enjoy on Saturday, August 6, 4:00 – 9:00 p.m, listening to 4 great family Bluegrass bands! Appearing for a return visit will be the popular Sarah Mae & the Birkeland Boys from Duluth with a home town connection, Sloughgrass, a very well known band from Birchdale and Porcupine Creek, a sate wide award winning teenage band, with the 6 members coming from the Birkeland, Olesen and Ashworth families. The Halvorson Family Band, from Mankato, having played at many state festivals also, will make their first appearance on the stage this year. All have recorded CD’s. This wonderful toe tapping music starts at 4:00 p.m. with a $2.00 entry fee under the big tent!
Sous Chef Mark Forsberg, from Smokey Hollow Fish Co, will be cooking up the smoked roast Beef, (all you can eat) Corn, coleslaw, buns, watermelon, with beverages for you to enjoy while listening to this great music. The meal starts at 5:00 p.m. with a free will offering.
This popular event takes place at the Historic Depot grounds, 420 No. Main Ave, in Baudette, MN. Come early as this event ran out of food last year! Also enjoy touring the 1923 built Historic Depot with all of the latest exhibits.
Taking place earlier that day in Baudette is the Simply Fresh Farmers Market and all day in the downtown business area is Crazy Days!
